We offer three primary categories of beach training:

- Beach Exclusive ... For those athletes looking only to train on the beach, enter tournaments, and compete regionally and nationally in beach competitions. Runs in two annual seasons for the beach club program, January-July and August to December.

- Dual-Sport Athletes ... For those athletes who play both indoor volleyball and beach volleyball, and want to participate to some degree in competitive beach tournaments.

- Cross Training for Indoor Athletes ... For those athletes who are committed exclusively to indoor competition and club, but want to expand their skill-set with additional beach training. These athletes also might become dual-sport down the road.

All of our beach locations will offer programs of these kinds, to varying degrees.

There is no formula for this, but some basic recommendations. Most people pick the location nearest or most convenient for them. Some people pick based on how many of their daughter's friends attend the same location program. Others because they have a connection with a specific coach or a specific other player or potential beach partner.

There are currently three locations for Lava Beach: West (Thousand Oaks), Simi (Simi Valley), and Ventura (Ventura). We also have a beach court space in Camarillo, used by all of our locations as a satellite site.

For our session based programs like clinics, camps, seasonal (spring, summer, etc) weekly training classes, the answer is yes and Yes! Each location has its own registration form with specific location details. Online registration can be accessed by location above - click the location box, then register and submit payment online to sign your athlete up for whatever class or clinic you would like.

For our club program, there are online payment options and you will register an online account, as well, but that program is by invitation only after tryouts and team formations. If you are interested in the club program, please contact our leadership team.

Our Beach Program offers something for everyone, from those who have never played before to those who have significant experience ... but no experience is required; beginner and intermediate players welcome!
