HOME >>> YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Los Angeles Volleyball Academy has myriad youth program offerings. The definition of a “youth program” is one designed to introduce the sport of volleyball to elementary school and lower middle school athletes, or those between 3rd and 6th grades.
Youth programs are also non-travel programs, which is to say skills training and development programs, typically with one 90-minute practice per week. These programs do not include regional or national travel tournaments; there is no fixed travel and competition component for these training-based programs. Non-travel programs tend to be session-based (a certain number of weeks) and seasonal (one session per season), not team-based. Non-travel programs also utilize online registration and payment systems. There are a variety of non-travel programs available for youth and junior athletes from grades 03-09.

Lite is designed for 3rd-5th graders, but if your 2nd grader really wants to play, please sign her up. If your 6th grader has never played before, you may also give the Lite a try. Experienced 5th/6th graders should try the Lite Plus (and/or the Sixth Grade Series); this is a more advanced version of the Lite Program.
Below 2nd grade is too young to participate. 7th-9th graders who want options other than travel teams should sign up for our Walk-Ons Non-Travel.
