LAVA Director Guides Pierce College Women to Championship, Wins Award

Our featured LAVA coach for summer 2011 is our very own Director of Operations and LAVA Girls Club Director Nabil Mardini. In addition to running the Academy, directing LAVA Girls, and coaching for LAVA South, Nabil is also the Head Coach for the powerhouse Pierce College Women’s Volleyball Program, which has won multiple conference titles under his decade-long tenure.

The fall 2010 season proved the Lady Brahmas most magical season yet, however, as Nabil guided the squad to yet another conference title and its first ever California CCAA State Championship. In recognition of his outstanding work, Nabil was recognized by a series of coaching associations and earned some significant hardware, including Regional Coach of the Year, Southwest Region Coach of the Year, and the mother of all awards, the AVCA National Two-Year College 2010 Coach of the Year.
